39 maytag dryer belt diagram
My older Maytag dryer stopped heating today. I began tearing it down to try to isolate what the issue was. I tested several of the connections, but eventually saw that the heating element had broken right at the end where it mounts; the loop, and just the loop, had broken off. Since it happened right at the end of the heating coil, where it mounts to the bolt, I was considering just bending a new loop and reconnecting it. Would this be a dangerous solution?
