I recently moved to Halifax from Toronto and have no idea how a furnace heating system operates. We rented a 5 bedroom 3800 Sq. Ft. house and the heating system seems to use a lot of oil. I have filled the tank with 525 litres of oil and we only have less than a quarter tank left (That's 15 days of usage). It seems like the charges are so high compared to Toronto where we used an electric heating system. Is this usage common with the furnace oil system? Am I doing something wrong? Are there any ...
