42 homelite trimmer fuel line diagram

Looking at buying a line trimmer, it's been a long time coming. I'd prefer electric, battery powered if possible. Don't want additional ongoing cost/maintenance, but if petrol is best then that's fine. Any particular recommendations? Property is on the larger side, would be used mainly for edging/weed eating. The Haines manual doesn't seem to include one, and I'm worried that I got the rubber lines mixed up while changing them out. Does anyone have a link? I'm not getting fuel to the carb, or even to the fuel filter, and I'm trying to find everything possible before the garage gets it on monday.

So I've found when I'm using my Echo SRM-225 that I'm barely touching the throttle. Pretty much just enough to get the clutch to engage and there is this really little room that I think it either too little or too much throttle. Then am I supposed to be touching the head to the grass or hovering above without touching? I think when it touches the grass, I seem to cut at 2-2.5" but I like to cut at 3", which it's hard to hover it. Am I doing it right? Is this normal? I was able to locate where it was and why it was happening and it was just rusted out fuel hardlines that had holes. The lines are located near the driver side rear wheel. The seem to come from above the fuel tank, down, and then they head towards the front of the car. I am trying to access the entire line to replace it but just can’t find where it goes. There are 3 lines in total all next to each other. I... Is it worth it ? How does it compare to its gas competitor ? Are all the Quik-lok attachment high-quality ? And is it essential to have bigger batteries to use it ? My biggest are the 6.0. Thanks !

Homelite trimmer fuel line diagram. Kia ora team, I'm in the market for a line trimmer with enough grunt to tackle my 'pasture grass' backyard - so basically farm grass. Section is probably 700m or so and very steep in parts. I mow what I can with the lawnmower, but it's quite rough land, so difficult to do it all with the mower. I've got a little battery Ryobi line-trimmer which is great for normal lawn, but doesn't quite cut the mustard for the heavier stuff. Thinking I need a petrol-powered beasty? Or can you get powerful ... I can't stand using the bastards. Feeding the line, getting petrol and sometimes they shit themselves trying to start. Almost threw my top of the range Stihl trimmer down the road yesterday after I replaced the line about 6 times doing my average sized lawn. The only alternatives I can think of are the blades edgers but they don't seem as versatile. I know that the OD has to be pretty close, or at least a tight fit through the hole in the tank, but how much difference does the ID make? As long as it fits right onto the carb it’s good enough? Or does it need to match so that fuel delivery is correct?
